This report summarized the findings and conclusions of a survey, commissioned by JEIDA, into the status of information security around the world. The survey entailed completion of 1,059 questionnaires by companies in Japan, Australia, North America, France, Germany, Italy, the Netherlands and the UK.
It aimed to establish the relative likelihood of suffering incidents caused by natural disasters, accidents, negligence and deliberate acts; the status of security measures and priorities for improvement.
Analysis of responses revealed that there were some variations between different parts of the world but that, globally, companies' status and concerns shared common features.
